The disappearance of a 36 year old woman last Friday from Little Burgundy is now being treated by police as a kidnapping.

Police say they've completed a search of Tricia Boisvert's apartment and have transferred the case to the major crimes unit.

Boisvert was last seen leaving her home on Notre-Dame Street near Dominion, likely in her car, at around 7 PM last Friday.  Police say she may have been headed to the Ottawa region, where she is originally from.

At least a dozen people living near Boisvert’s condo building say they don’t know the woman.

“I have no idea who she is, I haven’t heard anything but I have been seeing police parked outside all weekend, now I know what it’s for,”  a neighbour told CJAD.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 911 or Info-Crime Montreal at 514-393-1133.

Tricia Boisvert is described as a white woman, with long brown hair, 5 feet 8, 140 pounds

Her car is a black 2005 Pontiac G6, with Quebec licence plate 156-XQG.
