Montreal police have confirmed the body found in the Outaouais region is that of Tricia Boisvert, the 36-year-old Montreal woman who went missing last Friday.
The force's identification officers were sent yesterday to the village of Quyon, northwest of Gatineau.
It's believed the woman was murdered in Montreal.
Boisvert was last seen at around 7 p.m. last Friday from her apartment in Little Burgundy. Initially, her disappearance was treated as a missing person's case, then a kidnapping, and then a 'possible homicide'.
A manhunt is still on for Philippe Steele-Morin, a 30-year-old Gatineau man who's known to police there, and is considered the prime suspect in the case.
Authorities are saying another man has been arrested in the case, and will most likely be charged with being an accessory after the fact.
