Charges against four current and former SQ officers

Four current and former members of the provincial police force are being hauled up on criminal charges.

La Presse reports that one is former force director-general Richard Deschesnes.

The four are accused of taking money from a fund dedicated to drug investigations and payments to informants and using it for other purposes, including retirement bonuses that violated force policy.

The charges include fraud, breach of trust and theft over $5000.
