Mounties seize counterfeiters' printing press in Trois-Rivières

RCMP officers in Trois-Rivières have seized a printing press used to print counterfeit American 20-dollar bills.

They also seized a large amount of paper, which could have been used to make anywhere from 40 and 200 million dollars' worth of fake American 20s.

Police say they've been looking for that press for several years, as part of an investigation dubbed Project CRANIUM.

In the spring of 2012 police made four arrests as they dismantled a lab in Trois-Rivières that was used to add the finishing touches to the funny money.

Investigators found the counterfeiting operation had the capacity to manufacture and distribute millions of fake bills around the world.
