Suspect arrested in weekend stabbing death

A 31-year-old man will soon make a court appearance in connection with the stabbing death of a man in downtown Montreal early Sunday morning.

The 48-year-old victim was found behind the St. Laurent metro station, near the corner of St. Dominique St. and De Maisonneuve Blvd.

Montreal police say a witness came forward to tell his story, and made the arrest shortly after.

The suspect and victim apparently got into an argument during a drug deal.
