SQ investigation of Lev Tahor began in 2012

Documents released today show that the Sûreté du Québec has been conducting a criminal investigation into the Lev Tahor sect since April of 2012.

However, the documents are heavily redacted. The SQ searched the Chattam, Ontario community and its former Ste. Agathe location in the Laurentians, which it left abruptly last fall in the middle of the night.

Allegations of violence, kidnapping of minors and forced marriage have been long hovered over the orthodox jewish sect, but members of Lev Tahor have repeatedly denied these allegations.
