Liberals land Barrette for Lapinière

The Liberals will be rolling out a so-called star candidate later today.

Quebec Federation of Medical Specialists President Dr. Gaétan  Barrette will be introduced as the Liberal candidate in the Brossard-area riding of Lapinière.

His opponent will be former Liberal Fatima Houda-Pepin, who left the Liberal caucus in January over a disagreement with the party position on the Charter of Values.

Houda-Pepin is popular and won the seat in the last election by more than 10,000 votes.

This will be Barrette's second attempt at getting into the National Assembly.

He ran for the CAQ in Terrebonne in 2012.

OK, last election he runs under the CAQ banner, this time as a Liberal, then no doubt as a PQ candidate.

What will he do when he "runs" out of political parties, move to Ontario?
