A 38-year-old woman was injured in an early morning fire on the Plateau Tuesday.  It broke out around 6 AM in a 20 unit apartment building on Christophe-Colomb, at the corner of Marie- Anne St.

Firefighters say the blaze was relatively small, and it was contained to one apartment unit on the third floor.  It was brought under control quickly, but when they entered the apartment they found the woman unconsciousness on the floor.

She was revived and transported to hospital.  Her condition is stable.

The case has been transferred to Montreal police for investigation.
