Habs acquire goalie Dubnyk from Predators

The Montreal Canadiens have aquired 27-year-old goaltender Devan Dubnyk from the Nashville Predators in exchange for future considerations.

Dubnyk will be playing for his third NHL team this season. He began the year with the Edmonton Oilers and was traded to the Predators on January 15 in exchange for Matt Hendricks.

The move comes in the wake of starting goalie Carey Price being placed on injured reserve earlier this week.

In 34 games with the Oilers and Predators this season, Dubnyk has posted a 11-18-3 record with a 3.43 goals-against average and an .891 save percentage.

Dubnyk is expected to report the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.
