Sales figures skyrocket for travel agencies

Environment Canada issues March winter storm warning

This long and cold winter is getting to a lot of Quebecers this. It's no secret most would like some heat and sunshine.

Sales figures are reportedly up 30 percent at travel agencies across the province as Quebecers try to escape the dreary weather and head down south.

About 25 percent more Quebecers are heading to warmer climates than normal.

The top five destinations include Cuba, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and Jamaica.

Environment Canada has just issued a winter storm warning for the Montreal area, and said the city could see upwards of 15 centimeters of snow, beginning Wednesday morning.

Another reason to get away.
