Brother of Paul Desmarais sues estate for $100M

The family of Paul Desmarais Sr. is now embroiled in a feud over the late media baron's estate.

His 91-year-old brother Louis is suing his brother's estate for $100 million, saying shortly before his brother died late last year, he was given $5 million, and told he was not in the will.

In the civil suit filed Tuesday, he claims he and his brother had a verbal agreement made in 1975 for the transfer of company shares which would be valued today at more than $250 million.

The former chairman of Power Corporation died last Oct. 8 at the age of 86.
