Liberal ad campaign hammers away at PQ record

The Quebec Liberal Party says an electoral ad is not all that different from any other - you have to tell a story and hope it sticks.

With their three 15 second Internet ads and one 30 second TV ad, the Liberals are telling a story of an irresponsible PQ government by hammering at the PQ's records on healthcare, education, employment and the proposed secularism Charter.

"People are tired of a Parti Québécois that invents false problems to obscure reality," says Liberal leader Philippe Couillard in one of the ads.

The ads feature Couillard prominently standing in front of a backdrop draped in the Liberal colours of red and white.

The ads will run across the province and are exclusively in French. Only local ads will feature English content.

They begin airing tomorrow.

I wish them luck and I will be voting for them; however, the electoral posters that they have been posting are few and far between compared to those posted by the PQ and are comparatively small and difficult to read. You have to come close and squint just to see which party it is from and who the representative's name is. It is really pitiful. Driving through Verdun today, I saw PQ posters aplenty, but very few Liberal posters. CJAD should do an investigative report on how well represented the Liberal party is through their electoral posters. I worry that this may have a negative impact on the vote.

@Jim With Charboneau underway, Liberal financing may not be what it once was.

@Jim Could it be that Liberal campaign financing isn't what it used to be with the Charbonneau inquiry?

Under nine years of Liberal government, Quebec had full employment, balanced budgets, no debt, no corruption, no language police and Canadians from all provinces dreamed they could move here one day. Then the PQ won the election. The End.

Do whatever it takes Mr. Couillard. No one can take 4 years of marois lies and garbage.
