Vision Montreal is about to die

Louise Harel was Vision Montreal's last leader.

Vision Montreal, the municipal political party founded by former mayor Pierre Bourque in 1994, is about to die.

Quebec's director-general of elections is confirming an email sent by party leader Louise Harel to the media, suggesting she has requested the party be deregistered.

Under Bourque, the party held power from 1994 to 2001. Bourque stepped down after losing the 2001 and 2005 elections to Gérald Tremblay. Louise Harel took over the party's leadership for the 2009 election, once again, losing to Tremblay.

By 2013, Harel decided not to run again, instead opting to throw her support behind the candidacy of Marcel Côté.

And now Harel is going to jump on the PQ bandwagon - Which will show everyone her true colours and that she never had a unbiased interest in montreal - Anyway it is about time, they lost enough money especially when Bourque was in power with all those useless trips to China - I hope she stays out of the pq party and just retires, she has caused enough trouble in this province especially to montreal and the surrounding municipalities!!!
