More roadwork, more closures on Turcot interchange, Mercier Bridge

Two more key sections of the Turcot interchange will undergo weeks-long shutdowns, beginning next Monday, March 24.

From then until the beginning of June, the ramp leading from highway 15 north to the eastbound Ville-Marie expressway will be shut down, as will the ramp leading from the 15 north to the 20 west.

Meanwhile, the transport department has added a fifth weekend to the repair work on the Mercier bridge which would force the complete closure of both southbound lanes.

They will be shut down this coming weekend, from Friday, March 21 at 10 p.m., through Monday, March 24 at 5 a.m. — in addition to the weekends of March 28-31, April 11-14, and April 18-21.

Work to repair some of the structural elements underneath the bridge began last weekend.
