Sex shakedown leads to three arrests

Three suspects have been arraigned in court in connection with a sexual shakedown.

The complainant is a 48-year old Montreal businessman whose name is protected by a publication ban.

The suspects, two men and one woman, are accused of forcing the man to hand over $20,000 in blackmail money.

Investigators say the trio threatened to release photos of the man in a compromising position if he refused to cooperate.

One of the three suspects is the former owner of an escort agency who went to jail for forcing underage girls into prostitution.
