Suspect in overnight assault in Longueuil arrested

Longueuil police have made an arrest in connection with an overnight stabbing.

A 45 year old man, Abdelhamid Hajji,  is in custody and could be charged with attempted murder following an armed assault early Wednesday morning near Cure Poirier and Westgate.

The victim suffered serious injuries to his upper body.

Police believe a love triangle could be at the heart of the attack.
