Child stalking suspect Krupp faces new charges

Police calling on potential victims to come forward

Montreal police are asking for the public's help in looking for people who may have been molested by a convicted child pornographer more than 40 years ago.

68-year-old Howard Krupp was arrested today in Montreal, and faces two counts of indecency for acts committed sometime between 1970 and 1976.

Police have reason to believe the sex crimes may have been committed against minors, and are asking anyone who may have any further information to come forward.

He was released on bail with a promise to appear in April, though Krupp is also scheduled to be in court on Wednesday for proceedings related to an arrest in November.

He was picked up in Kirkland on suspicion of harassing schoolchildren.

In 2000, he was handed an 18-month conditional sentence for possession of about 12,000 pornographic photos of children between the ages of 5 and 12. At the time, it was the largest seizure of sexual images involving children on the island of Montreal. That sentence was served in the community.

Krupp has blue eyes and gray hair. He's 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 155 pounds.

Anyone with information, or who may have been victimized by Krupp, are being asked to call the Montreal police Info-Crime hotline at 514-393-1133.
