Hadfield promoting Ireland as tourist destination

      Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield has a new assigment as a tourism ambassador for Ireland.

      Hadfield became well-known in Ireland after he tweeted in Gaelic, posting several pictures of the country as seen from the International Space Station.

      He also has a family connection - his daughter is a student at Trinity College in Dublin.

      The space celebrity has now recorded four short films entitled "An Astronaut's Guide to the Island of Ireland" That's a nod to the title of his book, "An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth".

      In the tourism films, Hadfield learns some Gaelic words, visits the Guinness brewery and tries out hurling.
