Police searching for victims of suspected online child sex predator

Montreal police are calling on victims of a suspected child sex predator to come forward.

33-year-old Anthony Dicapua was arrested after a search of his Montreal North in February, suspected of several sex crimes, including child luring, invitation to sexual contact, making threats, and possession, distribution and production of child pornography.

Police believe between November 2013 and this past February, Dicapua passed himself off as a teenager on Skype and Facebook to get in contact with at least three teenagers, aged 13 or 14.

They believe there are more victims.

He would gain the kids' trust — offering them gifts — and then incite them to perform sex acts, often performing them himself.

Police say he's very manipulative, and would threaten his victims if they didn't do what he wanted.

He apparently went by several aliases on social media — on Facebook, he would use Jean-Simon Durocher or a variant, and on Skype he would use the handles compte clôturé compte clôturé, dead dead, or tony696945.

He would suggest one-on-one meetings when his victims found out he was older than he pretended to be.

Anyone with information is being asked to call the Montreal police Info-Crime line at 514-393-1133.
