8 year old girl hit by car on St-Denis

An 8 year old girl was sent to hospital after being hit by a car on St-Denis and Roy St. Sunday afternoon.

The accident happened just after 4:00 P.M. when the driver of the vehicle was going north on St-Denis when the girl crossed the street while running.

Montreal police Constable Danny Richer said the girl was transported to hospital and suffered serious injuries to her face but her life is not in danger.

The driver was treated on scene for shock.

Police closed down a section of St-Denis for their investigation.
