The Director General of Elections has recruited a small army of workers to man the 21,617 polling stations across Quebec.
Some 90,000 people have been hired as scrutineers.
814 candidates are in the running and 125 seats in the National Assembly are at stake.
6,012,440 Quebecers are eligible to vote in this election and about a million did so during the advance polls from March 28th to April 3rd.
The polls will close at 8pm.
Voters will have to identify themselves with one piece of government issue ID such as a driver's licence, Medicare card or passport.
