Three men in their 40s were arrested on the South Shore following a series of drug raids Thursday morning.
At least 30 Longueuil police officers and their canine unit searched three residences in the Old Longueuil borough. As of 11 a.m. they had seized four pounds of marijuana and 100 pills, which appear to be methamphetamines.
“The investigation started in February when we received information from a citizen,” constable Mark David said.
Neighbours near one of the homes being raided on De Lorimier Street said they we’re not surprised to see about the drug bust.
“There’s adult guys always smoking in the balcony in the front, I thought it was a rooming house," one man told CJAD.
The other two residences that were raided are located on Guilbeault and Sainte-Jeanne-D'Arc streets.
