Patrick Brazeau is a free man once again — but will now have to adhere to strict release conditions.
The suspended senator was arrested at his Gatineau home early Thursday morning after what police had described as a violent domestic incident.
The 39-year-old had to post $5000 bail, and among his conditions, he must undergo treatment at a rehab facility. He is also under an 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. curfew — he must be either at home or a rehab facility between those hours.
He also has to refrain from using alcohol or drugs.
He pleaded not guilty to five charges he had been facing, including two assault charges. He's also due in court later this month to answer to sexual assault charges stemming from an incident from February 2013.
