More spring flooding in Quebec

More flooding to report in Quebec and it's expected to get worse.

Homes and businesses have been flooded in Beauceville, in the Beauce area, after the Chaudiere river overflowed its banks today.

It's mainly because of the milder temperatures.

The area's main road, highway 173, was closed as a result of the flooding.

The town of St Lambert de Lauzon is also said to be at risk.

A number of other rivers are under close watch, including the Chateauguay, Yamaska, Richelieu.

There's heavy rain in the forecast for this weekend.

Among other things, the L'Acadie River overflowed its banks last weekend.
