Drug-related shooting in heart of downtown core

A man in his twenties was shot after trying to flee two suspects downtown on the corner of Ste-Catherine Street and Ste-Dominique. 

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Monday. 

"He was hit by a bullet after a fight related to narcotics," said Montreal police Constable Simon Delorme. 

The man is in stable condition, he was shot in an extremity.

The two suspects fled the scene and no one has been arrested.
