West Islander convicted of child porn charges re-arrested

55-year-old Kimberly Byron Moskalewski was back in court Thursday, after he was re-arrested for breaking his probation conditions again for the third time in about a year.

The West Island man had pleaded guilty to producing and distributing child pornography in February 2012. Police found more than 5,000 child porn images and videos on his home computer.

His wife was running a home daycare in Pierrefonds at the time of his arrest.

His 19-month sentence ended in early 2013, when his two-year probation period began.

Moskalewski was arrested Wednesday, suspected of using a computer or smartphone to communicate with a minor. He also apparently failed to inform the court of his change of address. Late last year, he was charged on similar breach of conditions, including being in a community center where a daycare and a youth center are located.

He will remain behind bars until his bail hearing, which will take place at the end of the month.

Why is this scum on probation? He should be rotting in jail. What do our stupid judges not understand? The only way to stop this is to make judges, parole boards and defense attorneys accountable for their decisions.

@ric Rotting in jail is not severe enough. We should save the hundreds of thousands its going to cost to keep this garbage alive and fed\clothed etc in prision, and give him to the care of the people he has abused and their families. Im sure they will do a great job and it will save the gvmt\us a ton of $.

I would put this guy in jail with some very tough prisoners. He won't last a day.

What a shock! This guy belongs in prison for the rest of his life, or in a lock down psychiatric facility. He does not belong anywhere near children. It is only a matter of time before he sexually assaults some child and then what will the reaction be? No one can say they didn't see it coming. Lock this animal up before some innocent child pays the price for the negligence and ineffectiveness of the system.
