Denis Coderre says he is looking forward to working with the new Liberal government on multiple issues.

Among them: the special status law for Montreal, pensions and rebuilding much of Quebec's crumbling infrastructure.

He said he was encouraged that new transport minister Robert Poeti, who represents the LaSalle riding of Marguerite-Bourgeoys, shares his views on polls for the new Champlain bridge.

He says Poeti will be sensitive to the needs of the bridge's users.

Noted Habs fan Coderre also congratulated the team on their first round playoff win and said he was impressed with the team's goaltending and offensive depth.
