Coderre, Moreau discussing special status for Montreal this morning

Mayor Denis Coderre will play host to Municipal Affairs Minister Pierre Moreau at city hall this morning.

The meeting is a follow up to a Liberal campaign pledge to legislate special status for Montreal.

That could include legislating new powers and new revenue streams for the city to help it compete with other large cities.

During the campaign Premier Couillard said that legislation enacting special status could be passed before the summer.

The pair has scheduled a newsconference  at city hall at 9AM to give further details.

This is such good news. All we need now is disband that racist group at the OQLF. Lets go. a few grocery stores at night. Instead of the only one on St Laurent. Few dept stores . Create a positive real altitude toward our citizens. Make a few jobs. And bingo now we are living in the real 24/7 real world. Let's rock and roll.
