Convicted killer arrested again

Montreal police have re-arrested a man for breach of bail conditions.

32-year-old Ryan Patrick McPhee, one of the teenagers who took part in the grisly murders of an elderly Beaconsfield couple in 1995, was charged with drunk driving stemming from an incident in December 2010 which killed his friend.

McPhee and two other teenagers broke into the home of Frank and Jocelyn Toope, a couple in their 70s, and beat them to death during a botched robbery attempt.

McPhee was convicted of second-degree murder in the deaths.

I remember that there was a publication ban of their names back then, "to protect their identity". It's sick how society gives them the benefit of doubt, only for them to abuse that trust.
