This building rests in a huge lot on prime downtown real estate that the city of Montreal sold to a billionaire for only $1.
Then, only a few months later, after building 7 was illegally filled with massive amounts of paper and mysteriously caught fire, the city purchased back the burned out building for around $7 million.
Now there is a second fire in this location..

This was not a garage, but a building at Alstom that was rented for a movie production. It probably was arson and the police did not rule that out, and the fire started on the roof.
(just to set the story straight).
