UPDATE: Longueuil Police check out tips in disappearance of missing Brossard woman

Woman and baby have not been seen in a week

Longueuil police say they've received about 15 tips after setting up a command post in Brossard Wednesday morning, hoping to pick up clues on the whereabouts of an Asian woman and her baby who have been missing for a week.

Police say at least one of those tips appears promising and say the information is being verified.

Last Wednesday, April 30, the husband of 42-year-old Jian Ping Li, left their home around 9:40 AM when he returned around 2:30 PM, his wife and 6 month old son were gone.  They have not been seen since.

Longueuil police set up the command post near their home at the corner of Sabourin crescent and avenue Stravinski.

Anyone with information should go to the command post this morning or call 911 as soon as possible.

Li is of Asian descent, she weighs about 145 pounds, she’s about 5 feet tall, has black hair to her shoulders, brown eyes, with contact lenses.  She speaks Mandarin, French and English.

She may be wearing a long black coat and yellow running shoes.

Sun Youth is also offering a $5000 reward to anyone with information that leads to finding Li and her baby.
