Mayor Coderre visits Europe to promote Montreal

Mayor Coderre is on the road.

He's begun a European tour to promote Montreal.

He says he wants to raise Montreal's profile on the international stage.

Coderre, who was elected in November, says he wants the city to have its role and place on the international scene once again.

He adds Montreal holds an important geo-political position; a European city in a North American context and that notions of close affiliations between big cities must be redefined.

His agenda includes visits to Paris, Lyons and Brussels.
