Two West Island men die after boat capsizes on Lake of Two Mountains

WIKIPEDIA

Two West Island men in their 30's are dead after their boat capsized in windy conditions  Saturday evening on Lake of Two Mountains.

They were found floating in the water, but died later in hospital.

One man was found near the shore in Ste. Placide.

A police officer swam out to bring the second man in.

The victims, who were out fishing, were unable to get back into the boat or swim to shore, possibly because of high winds and currents.

The SQ identified them as Raymond Adams, 34, of DDO and Craig Walker, 31, from Pierrefonds.

Hawkins says boaters should check weather conditions before heading out.

Provincial police are investigating.
