Motorists are being urged to help keep the road accident tolls down this Victoria Day weekend.
The Surete du Quebec reports there will be a heavier police presence on the roads, and advises motorists it will be cracking down on offenders.
Drivers are urged to stay within the speed limits, don't drink and drive and wear seat belts.
One person died on Quebec roads on this holiday weekend last year.
While that was a low figure for a holiday weekend, 152 people were injured in road accidents.
