18-year old formally charged after explosives find in Cartierville home

An 18-year old man has been formally charged after a scary discovery this holiday weekend at a north end Cartierville home.

19 explosive devices were discovered at a triplex on Robertine-Barry street, all eventually dismantled.

Firearms were also seized.

He's identified as Jordi Antunes-Barros, who faces four different charges.

They're said to be possession of incendiary material, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, using explosives and possession without lawful excuse.

He remains in police custody and is expected to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

The suspect has another court appearance scheduled for Tuesday.

Some 50 area residents were forced out for a time during the hours-long police operation, which began Saturday.

This idiot lived with his parents and a sister in a basement apartment. How is it that nobody ever noticed these bombs or guns? Are the these parents blind, stupid or just don't care? He must have spent hours in his room building this stuff and no one noticed.
