What's open and what's closed this Victoria Day

Most government offices will be closed this holiday Monday, but aside from that, there will be lots to do in town.

Banks will be closed, but malls and retail stores are expected to be open. So will SAQ outlets, supermarkets, and the city's public markets.

Stand-alone post offices will be closed, but the postal counters in pharmacies and other retail outlets, can open at their discretion.

Most of the city's main attractions, including the Biodome, Botanical Gardens, and the Planetarium, will remain open today. And for the city's sporting and cultural facilities, like arenas, swimming pools, and libraries — they'll be open in some boroughs, and closed in others.

You can phone the city's 3-1-1 hotline to find out which ones.

Garbage and recycling pickup should be normal in most places, with a few isolated exceptions.

Buses, metros and commuter trains will all run on a reduced schedule — and parking meters will still take your money, as they always do.
