The woman accused of kidnapping a baby in Trois-Rivieres on Monday night appeared in court this afternoon.
21-year-old Valérie Poulin-Collins faces kidnapping and abduction charges.
She appeared tired and pale when she arrived for her court appearance. She did not enter a plea — she was deemed unfit to be formally arraigned on the two charges she faces.
Poulin-Collins' lawyer has requested a psychiatric evaluation for his client.
She was released from hospital this morning — after an apparent drug overdose.
Her next court date is a week from today -- June 5.
She's also due to return to court on June 30 and July 4 to face sesveral other charges unrelated to the kidnapping — including drug possession and theft.
