Canadiens clear out lockers and look back at season that was

It's something that had to be done, but the Canadiens were hoping to do it later after having played in the Stanley Cup final and winning their 25th championship.

The Habs cleared their lockers Saturday after thei semi final series loss to the Rangers.

New York took the serires on Thursday 4 games to 2.

Among other things, goalie Carey Price had only good words for rookie netminder Dustin Tokarski, who replaced him after a lower body injury during the start of the Eastern Conferfence final with the Rangers.

"He did a great job. That's probably one of the hardest situations you could ever throw a guy into and he really excelled. He showed why he's won at different levels and he's an awesome guy and I gotta take my hat off, tip my hat to him. He did an exellent job", Price told a swarm of reporters in the dressing room.

Regarding his injury, Price said it's coming along.

"Over time, it's gonna get back to normal, so, actually I got really lucky, could have been a lot worse."

Captain Brian Gionta, who's an unrestricted free agent, was asked about his future with the team.

"I don't know. We'll sit down and we love it here. My family's been here for a while and we love this city and we love the team and we believe in the team, the direction in the team, so we leave it up to Berg, (Habs GM Marc Bergevin), and my agent to take care of.

The winner of the Chicago-LA semi final will play NY for the Stanley Cup.

Game 7 of the Western Conference final goes Sunday in Chicago.
