UPDATE: Mirka the Kangaroo back home in St. Lazare

The search is over for a kangaroo that escaped from a farm in St. Lazare Sunday night.

Mirka the kangaroo was found late this afternoon in a neighbor's back yard.

The animal was staying with Luc Lefebvre for zootherapy training for the last three months, lent to him by the Papanack zoo, near Ottawa.

Lefebvre says a fence was left open Sunday around 6 pm and she took off after being spooked by a truck carrying horses.

I hope Mirka is found soon, safe and sound. She must be frightened.

When interviewed Mirka said she was just simply looking for the local IHOP.
