UPDATE: Chester the cat found at Trudeau airport

Cat vanished before flight to Vancouver on May 21

A seven-month-old Scottish fold cat that disappeared from Trudeau airport last month has now been found.

Chester the cat was due to be transferred from Trudeau airport to his new owner in B.C. on May 21 before it got lost.

Its owner, Amanda Stewart, had blamed Air Canada from the loss.

Stewart purchased the cat for $1200 from a Montreal breeder, but disappeared just before the cat was to be flown out to Vancouver. Air Canada had said it had done everything to find the cat, including setting out cages, using food to lure him, and posting fliers throughout Trudeau airport.

Chester was finally spotted Tuesday evening at the airport. He was then trapped using a case. On Wednesday, the airline arranged for Chester to get a checkup from a veterinarian.

It's not clear what's next for Chester, or when he will be making his flight out to Vancouver.
