Summer long repair work on the Mercier Bridge gets underway Friday night.
It means that traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions until August 11th.
The closure will allow for replacement of the deck on the federal portion of the bridge, repaving as well as the replacement of expansion joints and bridge bearings.
During the summer the access ramp from Airlie towards the South Shore will be closed and the access ramp from Châteauguay towards Montreal will be shut down.
The lane closures take effect Friday at 9pm and they will reopen at 5am on August 11th.
