SQ investigates Saint-Agathe homicide

Sûreté du Québec officers in the Laurentians are investigating following a homicide in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts.

A woman was discovered yesterday morning around 9 a.m. with no vital signs, in a triplex at the corner of Saint-Bruno St. and Saint-Paul St.

It was not until 11 p.m. that she was pronounced dead by a coroner.

SQ spokesperson Claude Denis says a suspect is in custody.

In an interview with TVA Nouvelles, a close friend of the alleged victim said four people were in the apartment in question on Friday afternoon, and it appeared there had been some difficulties between them.

An autopsy is expected to be performed on Monday.
