Police said to be close to arresting those who helped jail escapees

Provincial police are said to be close to arresting accomplices in the wake of that Quebec City area helicopter jailbreak more than 2 weeks ago.

The escapees, Yves Denis, Denis Lefebvre, and Serge Pomerleau, were caught Sunday in Montreal after fleeing from the Orsainville detention center.

Authorities are reportedly on the trail of the men who rented the condo where the three were recaptured.

A report says they're also looking for the son of one of the inmates who's a helicopter pilot.

Another man is also being sought.

Meantime, a trial date on murder charges has been set for January involving the trio.
