WATCH: police altercation with school janitor, teacher

A video shot by the school janitor at the centre of an alleged case of police brutality has emerged.

The cell phone video shows an argument between Carl Cadieux, a janitor at the Au Pied de la Montagne school on Pine Avenue and Henri-Julien on the Plateau Mont-Royal, and police officer Dimitry Harris as it escalates.

Cadieux is heard telling the officer that he is filming him while the officer tells him to calm down and stop yelling.

A hand then covers the phone as another voice, a female's, is heard trying to intervene.

Harris says he is placing Cadieux under arrest for "intimidation" while Cadieux protests that he is at his place of work.

The officer also tells the female to "get out of my face."

Cadieux appears to be restrained by a different officer and then screams as he goes to the ground.

The incident took place on June 11 after Cadieux yelled at Harris as the officer and his partner pulled a U-turn on Pine Ave. when responding to another call.

Cadieux says the police cruiser sped through a red light without flashing lights or sirens and endangered the children at the school.

Montreal police investigated the matter and concluded no criminal charges against Harris were warranted.

Charges of interfering with a police officer have been laid against Cadieux and Grade 6 teacher Nadia Lessard. They are scheduled to appear in court later this week.

Montrealers are poorly served by their "police" force, who claim to everything to everyone.
    Let's not forget:
    - Anthony Griffin
    - Fredy Villaneuva
    - countless other innocent citizens run down by cops on a power trip, speeding to an emergency.
-They even intimidated the mayor when seeking a 3 day work week.
These aren't heroes. These are bullies.

One thing to say! No charges filed against the officer! No big surprise there! We need an independent police inquiry board, one not controlled by cops. As long as cops keep investigating cops, there will never be any true justice for citizens who are truly wronged by police! It seems in this video the janitor was antagonizing the cops, but I don't think the cop was very level-headed either!

A teacher, a janitor from a school. I wonder how innocent children will react to those who are supposed to serve and protect after watching this video. This is disgusting. These police need to find new jobs. Bunch of bullies. Where is the mayor of mtl? So many videos of montreal police bullying the public are on YouTube. Let's see the video from the police vehicle or from their body cameras. Can't wait to hear how the city deals with this now. What next? How much does the public have to put up with...
