Claude Giroux gets off without charges

An embarrassing drunken situation for Claude Giroux on Canada Day, ended without any legal consequences for the man.

The Philadelphia Flyers' captain was arrested by Ottawa police Tuesday night after an incident involving a police officer in the city's Byward Market.

Giroux is said to have grabbed a police officer's butt repeatedly, despite being warned. 

We have learned the Hearst, Ontario native will not be charged, after an internal police memo was accidentally sent to local media. It said Claude Giroux will not face charges.

The management team with the Flyers has been made aware of the situation.
