Evacuation of Telus tower

There was a hurried evacuation late last evening of the Telus tower on Rene Levesque Boulevard downtown.

More than a dozen people working in the building experienced breathing trouble after being exposed to fumes from a compound used to seal marble.

Six people were transported to hospital, including a 45-year old woman who developed heart trouble.

There were over a hundred people in the office tower when the evacuation was ordered around 10:30 p.m.
