Motorcycle passenger dies in accident in Montérégie

A woman from the South Shore is dead after a motorcycle lost control while on Route 202 in the Montérégie region.

The woman, identified as 31 years old, was a passenger on a motorcycle that inexplicably lost control and crashed.

The driver sustained severe injuries, but the 44-year-old man's life is not in danger, according to the Sûreté du Québec.

An investigation has been opened to determine if the driver was distracted or had to evade an object or animal.
