Environment Canada officials aren't exactly jumping for joy about some unusual wedding photos making the rounds on the Internet.

On the weekend, professional photographer Colleen Niska was on a rural Saskatchewan road taking pictures of a young bride and groom when a tornado appeared in the dark, stormy sky behind them.

The result was a series of stunning photos in which the funnel of the twister reached down to the ground in the distant background as the couple kiss and walk down the washed-out gravel road hand in hand.

Environment Canada confirms two tornadoes touched down in the area on Saturday afternoon.

Spokesman Mike McDonald calls the photo shoot very risky.

He says people who see a tornado should have the sense to get into a sturdy shelter.
