Charges pending against Douglas Garland in missing Calgary boy case

Calgary police confirmed the worst fears for the family of missing Nathan O'Brian. Murder charges are now pending in connection to the disappearance.

Police told CJAD News, Douglas Garland, is arrested and will be formally charged Tuesday morning.

Chief Rich Hanson said Monday a man is facing two counts of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder, but wouldn't confirm Garland was the suspect arrested. 

The boys two grandparents are also missing, and none of the bodies have been recovered. 

Garland remained silent as officers escorted him to the police station Monday evening.
