Boutique Electronique on Sources closes after 23 years

A well-known electronic store on the West Island is closing.

La Boutique Electronique on Sources is shutting down after 23 years.

The co-owners say it's time to call it a day.

One of them says the West Island is a tough market, that people are price-sensitive.

Scott Phelan, who spoke with CTV News, has worked with partner Chris Porchus.

"I'm not a young man anymore, Chris and I are both in our 60's. Business has changed a little bit in that there's a lot of levels of businesses that weren't there 5 years ago, even. I'm talking about the Target, Costco, Wal-Mart level", said Phelan.

Management says fewer people visit the store.
